Dead Simple Studio ("we", "us", "our") builds software tools for merchants and individuals. This privacy policy covers all of our apps: Dead Simple Product Embed, Dead Simple Blog Sync, and Dead Simple Timer.
Dead Simple Product Embed
Dead Simple Product Embed is a Shopify app that lets merchants embed shoppable products in blog posts.
Data we access
- Product information (titles, descriptions, prices, images, inventory status) via the Shopify API
- Blog and article data for embedding product widgets
How we use it
This data is used solely to power the product embed functionality within your Shopify store. We do not sell, share, or transfer your store data to any third parties.
Data storage
We store only the minimal data required for the app to function, including your store's Shopify access token and configuration preferences. Product data is fetched in real time from Shopify and is not stored on our servers.
Dead Simple Blog Sync
Dead Simple Blog Sync is a Shopify app that synchronizes blog content across multiple Shopify stores.
Data we access
- Blog posts, articles, and associated metafields via the Shopify API
- Store connection details for source and destination stores
How we use it
This data is used solely to synchronize blog content between your connected Shopify stores. We do not sell, share, or transfer your store data to any third parties.
Data storage
We store your store connection credentials and sync configuration. Blog content is read from the source store and written to destination stores during sync operations. We do not retain copies of your blog content beyond what is needed to perform the sync.
Dead Simple Timer
Dead Simple Timer is a macOS app that runs entirely on your device. It does not collect any personal data or usage analytics.
Feedback reports
The app includes an optional feedback feature. If you choose to send feedback, only the text you type is transmitted. No device information, identifiers, or other data is attached. Feedback is sent anonymously and cannot be traced back to you.
General Practices
Third-party services
Our Shopify apps operate within the Shopify platform and use the Shopify API. Your use of Shopify is governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.
Data retention
If you uninstall one of our Shopify apps, we delete your store data and access credentials within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and secure storage of access credentials.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data we hold about you or your store. To make a request, contact us at the email below.
